There are a handful of pages that don’t currently get archived with each version: Thoughts, Archive, Gifs, and the 404 page. For Thoughts, it feels overly complicated to maintain posts within the year’s site they were originally created. If you clicked an older post from the current site, it could be confusing to arrive at what feels like another site entirely.
